Sale of Francofonte Wind Farm

Back

Situational Analysis

The Francofonte Wind project is to be constructed in south-eastern Sicily, and is scheduled to start operating in April 2007. Francofonte will be one of the largest wind farms in Italy built so far with 72MW, generating 111 million kilowatt hours per annum - enough electricity to supply the needs of more than 46,000 households.

The sale of the project by WKN to Allianz Specialised Investments is the first sale of a Wind Park operating under a green certificates scheme in Italy and the first Italian pure sale of a project under development.

Fieldstone Role

Fieldstone and Benedetti , Rossi & Partners were the sole advisors to WKN for the sale of their 72-megawatt Francofonte wind farm.
