	Situation Analysis The Energy Commission of Malaysia had conducted a closed competitive bidding process between Jimah Energy Ventures and Malakoff Corporation Berhad for a 1x1,000MW supercritical coal-fired facility in Peninsular Malaysia. The bid process for the award of the 1x1000MW independent power producer is the first competitive bidding process in Malaysia . Fieldstone Role Fieldstone acted as exclusive financial adviser to the Energy Commission of Malaysia on the bid tender process and evaluation of the bids. Fieldstone also assisted in the Power Purchase Agreement and Coal Supply and Transportation Agreement negotiations between the winning bidder and Tenaga Nasional Berhad.
