Situational Analysis

    Aldwych is a developer, operator and investor in power projects in Africa, formed in 2004.  Aldwych had exhausted most of its initial development capital and needed to secure significant corporate financing in order to continue development and make investments in power projects in several African countries.

 

Fieldstone Role

 

Fieldstone acted as financial adviser to Aldwych in the finance raising exercise which involved:

• Raising of €27.1m of senior debt with warrants
• Raising of £9.7m of equity, initially provided through various tranches of bridge/interim financing and subsequently converted to equity
• Conversion of certain existing debt to equity
• Repayment of existing preference shares
