Completion of the Refinancing of the Tynagh Power Station

November 21, 2006 – Gama Construction Ireland Limited, GE Energy Financial Services and Mountside Properties Limited, the shareholders in Tynagh Energy Limited, have completed the refinancing of the 385 MW Tynagh gas-fired power station in the Republic of Ireland.  The Tynagh power station commenced commercial operation in March 2006 and is operating under a long-term power purchase agreement with ESB.

 

Fieldstone Private Capital Group, a specialist international power and infrastructure investment bank, acted as the exclusive financial adviser to Tynagh Energy Limited throughout the refinancing.  The Fieldstone team was led by Michael Sutcliffe, a managing director based in Fieldstone’s London office, and Alasdair Cleghorn, a Fieldstone director.

 

Previously, Fieldstone worked as the exclusive advisor to Gama Construction Ireland Limited on the sale of a 40% shareholding in Tynagh Energy Limited to GE Energy Financial Services.
